Shamineau Sunset

This painting was commissioned by a friend wanting to capture one of many memorable sunsets at their family resort near Brainerd, MN. A classic example of the medium doing a lot of the heavy lifting, I was delighted with how the dark clouds flowed across the surface after dropping in paint at just the right time, in terms of paper saturation.
