There is something beautiful about the messiness of winter in Minneapolis. I’m always amazed at how the snow opens up a world of grayscale on the sides of buildings and on the pavement. This is all easy to say, having taken the photo from a skyway and completed the painting in the studio, both far from the bitter cold of a Minnesota March.
