Sharing a recent painting from a photo I took last year in Italy. You don't have to look very far in Naples to find a building painted a color that somehow blends perfectly with the color of the sky, foliage, and other surroundings. This was a fun exercise in value and building up a painting in a very traditional watercolor way (light-to-dark). Plus, a custom made mat to crop the painting into a more eye-pleasing composition.
